Vestige is a contemporary American restaurant in beautiful and historic downtown Ocean Springs, MS, locally-owned by Ocean Springs native Chef Alex Perry and his wife Kumi Omori.
In 2019, Alex was recognized by James Beard Foundation as one of the Semi Finalists in The Best Chef: South category. (We are unbelievably humbled and super excited for this... SO THANKFUL for our hardworking team!)
Our food is often inspired by flavors and techniques of Japan, where Alex's wife Kumi grew up. He finds it intriguing and delicious. He enjoys working with what grows here and turns them into tasty dishes that are his own interpretation of Japan. Kumi makes all of our bread and dessert. Her inspirations come from beauty of nature and outdoors; she dreams of becoming a farmer one day!
We believe in seasonality, sustainability and locality whenever possible. These tenets allow us to create wholesome dishes that we feel good about serving and eating!

We are a completely non-smoking environment.
Note regarding Covid-19: We routinely sanitize contact surface and wash our hands in an effort to provide safe environment for our valued guests and employees. We use single-use menu card stock. Hand sanitizer is available at restaurant entrance and in bathrooms. Our seating capacity is very limited as we removed some tables to allow sufficient distance between each tables. We do not have outdoor seating available. As mandated by local regulations, our staff wears a mask and gloves to serve you.

As of November 1st, 2020, we are open with limited indoor seating and multi course pre set tasting menu.
Reservation is encouraged as our seatings are very limited. Open for dinner Tuesday through Saturday 5:00 P.M. ~ 9:00 P.M.
